Colorado Avalanche forward Miles Wood scored a goal 1103 seconds into overtime to give the Avalanche a 4-3 win over the Dallas Stars in Game 1 of their second-round playoff series on Wednesday night.
The Avalanche trailed 3-0 in the second period before scoring three unanswered goals to tie the game. Nichushkin scored twice in the second period, and Makar tied the game with a solo goal in the third period.
Wood's goal came on a rebound off a shot by Makar. It was Wood's second goal of the playoffs.
The Avalanche will host the Stars in Game 2 on Friday night.
